Professional Summary

Upon graduating from Texas A&M University Maritime Academy I obtained a B.S. in Marine Transportation and USCG Third Mate’s Unlimited Tonnage Upon Oceans License. While attending the academy I was afforded the opportunity to sail on a commercial oil tanker and various training academy vessels. I learned the skills necessary to be an effective member of the ship’s crew in the areas of watchstanding, navigation, ship handling, mooring operations, safety, firefighting, lifesaving appliances, and vessel maintenance. I hold a fast rescue boat endorsement which I obtained on a jet-drive RHIB and I taught small boat handling courses to new academy cadets.
