I'm a british/italian sail yacht deckhand, new in the super yacht industry but not new in yachting and sailing. I sail since i was 8 years old ( 25 now). Done much dinghy sailing/racing/classic boat racing and skipper/flotilla experience. Im a smart guy, hard working and a team player; never complain and I love what I do, I'm in love with sailing and sea.

I had the pleasure of meeting and sailing with Lawrence this summer as he skippered our yacht around beautiful Croatia.

With 8 of us on board (to full capacity), Lawrence was a joy to have with us and became an integral part of our fantastic holiday.

He was truly professional at all times, going out of his way on many occasions to ensure the safety of our boat (in particularly stormy and unexpected weather), while also becoming part of our group as a friend. He’s very knowledgeable in all areas of sailing and this became particularly evident when some of our group were keen to learn the basics of skippering – his passion for the job and the sea were quite obvious to all of us.

He’s a team player and worked well with the other members of his team, but was also more than capable of making his own decisions and using his own initiative when it came to making sure we had the very best experiences whilst sailing - including some stop offs at some gorgeous little known islands!

I had Lawrence on board my yacht for over a month. Lawrence it’s a great guy, really hard working, he knows what to do at the right moment.
He does know a lot about sailing and you can get how much sailing and sea it’s a true passion for him. His duties on board were managing the tender, bringing guest around when they needed to, helping anchoring manoeuvring and general management of the yacht. He did manage everything pretty well.
He also has great social skills, he went along pretty well with the guests we had. I’ve got really positive feedback from the guests from this point of view.
We had a really intense period together including a Greece to Croatia transfer and a night sailing from Corfu till Dubrovnik. I recommend him for any Skipper who wishes to employ him as deckhand/co-skipper; he does have to learn still a lot more he is just at the beginning but this is the right way to start.
