Professional Summary

I would like to apply for a position as a cook, and or crew cook for the European summer, preferably based in Palma de Mallorca.

I was born in Germany, but hold an Australian passport and have a B1/B2 visa till February 2017, and am available from the 1st of May 2013.

I am currently working on a 104 foot privately owned motor yacht as a cook, looking after 4 owners, 5 crew and occasionally guests, cruising the Caribbean for the winter, and have been employed on this boat since February 2012.

I owned a 34` Bora Temptress steel yacht in Western Australia for 9 years, and I am very comfortable and confident on boats and have never been sea sick.

I am a passionate cook of various nationalities, and cooked in both of my restaurants and in my catering business. My specialty is Mediterranean cooking but I am also experienced in Asian and German cuisine.

I am very adventures and not afraid to explore any type of fare, and living in Australia the last 24 years gave me a broad culinary exposure, being such a multicultural place.

I spent 10 month in Thailand in 2010 and extended my knowledge in Asian cuisine, as well as doing volunteer work, teaching orphans English.

I recently completed a Raw Food Course in the Bahamas and am familiar with light and healthy cooking, as well as traditional French.

I have worked most of my life in the service and hospitality industry. My biggest assets are I am a team player, adapt well to new environments, and have a“can do“attitude.

I am a very positive and outgoing person, and love travelling and exploring new cultures.
I feel confident that I would be a great addition to your existing crew.
