Professional Summary

For the past three years we have been working between two commercial motor boats, both providing charters for visiting tourist. The concept is to provide an experience that the passengers will enjoy and never forget on the ocean. This includes dolphin / whale watching, banana boat rides and private wakeboarding. Both boats carry a maximum of 12 passengers with two crew members. Not only do we have to ensure the clients have everything they need from light refreshments to snacks but also that their safety is never compromised. Brad has additional responsibilities of boat/engine maintenance whilst Ruth is responsible for all account keeping.
In between the commercial seasons we have taken private charters ranging from a day to a month.
Previous to our careers on the ocean, Brad has always worked in IT. He has the skills and the knowledge of setting up a single office with one computer to networking a number of offices and synchronising them all to a main server. Ruth has a background of banking working for one of the largest financial institutes in the United Kingdom.
As a couple we are a perfect balance, very different in personality which we feel is an asset as we always have two different approaches to look upon for ideas and solutions. We do share a love of the Ocean which is driving us to really push each other forward to progress in this field.
Both well educated, well-travelled and extremely driven we can adapt quickly to new surroundings and with our past life/work experience we feel we are valuable members of any team. We both agree that exceeding client’s expectations in any business is a vital key to success.
We are currently trying our hardest to study in our spare time to extend our range of skills that are more fitting to the Motor Yacht Industry. We have just finished our PADI open water and are looking to continue up to Instructor level.
As well as being extremely hardworking and reliable we are very versatile in relation to different roles. We have the ability and experience to lead and motivate teams but we can easily work as a part of a team and can take direction very well.
Our main objective is to find a company where we can build a long term future.
Bradley hopes to have completed his IYT Master of Yachts license by the end of September 2011
