To whom it may concern,
I am writing to apply for the position of Deckhand on superyachts. Although I have not worked on superyachts before I have transferable skills from previous job experiences.
As you will see from the attached CV, I have worked in a variety of roles and industries. Most recently I worked for a British holiday company as a Watersports Instructor. In just 2 years I became skilled enough at sailing and windsurfing to become a Royal Yachting Association Dinghy Sailing and Windsurfing Instructor. I also have the STCW qualification and am well experienced in power boating. In addition I have experience in maintenance and repairs, including fibreglass work. Having had much experience working as part of a team I am used to carrying out assigned tasks efficiently. I pay attention to details, particularly when it comes to presentation.
I hope you can see that my diverse skills and qualifications will make me an asset to the crew.
