I was also asked to assist the Port Engineer with the training of the onboard engineer in the use of the company Preventative Maintenance Program, (PMP). Outside the general operation of the vessel it is my responsibility to insure the crew have completed the Type Rating Training for the vessel and are fully versed with the operations of the SMS.
