Job Description
✔️Seven Seas Recruitment is currently recruiting for the following positions:
• Title: CAPTAIN & CHEF/STEW COUPLE for a private and charter 60 Foot Power Catamaran.
• Employment Type: Permanent (standard days leave).
• Salary: Strong salary on offer (DOE in USD)
• Location: Caribbean.
Vessel Details:
• A 60ft private and charter power catamaran is currently recruiting for an experienced Captain & Chef/Stewardess couple to join the vessel ASAP in Freeport, Bahamas.
• The yacht operates a year-round programme combining private owner trips and charters, typically accommodating around six guests, with a particularly busy period over Christmas and New Year.
• The yacht is based in Freeport, where the couple will benefit from an established shoreside team providing support with maintenance, troubleshooting, turnarounds and parts.
Position Overview:
• The Captain will be responsible for the safe navigation and operation of the vessel alongside a significant technical and maintenance element. The yacht features a new-generation hybrid system and solar power, making this an interesting opportunity for a technically minded Captain who enjoys troubleshooting and hands-on involvement.
• The Chef/Stewardess will be responsible for cooking, provisioning, basic housekeeping and laundry and guest service.
• The programme generally averages around one charter per month and an owner trip every two to three months, with busier periods followed by good downtime between trips.
• This would particularly suit a couple looking to step away from the formality of a traditional superyacht programme while still taking pride in delivering excellent standards and a five-star guest experience.
• Looking further ahead, the team is also planning a four-year round-the-world programme scheduled to begin in November 2027.
Requirements:
• Please only apply for this role if you are in an established couple as a Captain & Chef/Stew.
• The Captain must hold a Yachtmaster Offshore and AEC1/2 in hand to be considered for this role.
• The Chef/Stewardess must have strong cooking, menu planning, provisioning, housekeeping and guest-service experience. Culinary qualifications would be advantageous.
• Both crew members must hold a valid B1/B2 visa in hand to be considered for these roles.
• Strong combined salary on offer (DOE in USD) with annual leave and a professional and supportive crew environment.
