Second Engineer seeking job on 70m private motor yacht

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Second Engineer to join a 70m private motor yacht based in Qatar. The successful candidate will assist the Chief Engineer in the operation, maintenance, and management of all onboard machinery and engineering systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the daily operation and maintenance of all engineering equipment and systems.
• Conducting routine inspections and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.
• Performing planned and preventive maintenance.
• Maintaining accurate engineering records and supporting the vessel’s safety and compliance requirements.
• Working with and updating the vessel’s planned maintenance system (IDEA PMS experience preferred).
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Second Engineer on yachts of a similar size.
• Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems and principles.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a professional and demanding yacht environment.
Package:
• Salary: EUR 6,500 per calendar month
• Rotation: 2 months on / 2 months off
• Joining Date: Between 5 and 7 November
