Vessel Details:
• A 50m private motor yacht is currently seeking a Temporary Second Engineer to provide relief cover for approximately one month.
• The successful candidate will join the vessel on 22nd September in Greece, with the exact joining location still to be confirmed, and remain onboard until the 21st October.
• This is a relief position covering the permanent Second Engineer’s annual leave, with the yacht looking to secure the right candidate as soon as possible.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will step into the existing Second Engineer position and work alongside the yacht’s rotational Chief Engineer throughout the relief period.
• The yacht is looking for someone technically capable and comfortable integrating quickly into an established engineering department, ensuring continuity across the vessel’s day-to-day engineering operations.
• Previous yacht experience is preferred, with the ability to familiarise themselves efficiently with the vessel and provide reliable support throughout the month particularly important.
Requirements:
• Candidates must hold a MEOL as the minimum certification required for the vessel’s manning requirements.
• You must be available for the full relief period from 22nd September until 21st October.
• Strong salary on offer for the right candidate paid in EUR.
• You must hold a valid Schengen visa/European passport in hand to be considered.
• Start date: 22nd of September.
