Vessel Details:

• A dual season, 37m private and charter sailing yacht is looking for an experienced Chef to join the vessel in in the US!

• With an interesting programme ahead, the yacht will spend the coming season in the Caribbean, including three winter charters, before crossing at the end of March. From there, plans include the Isles of Scilly and Scotland, eventually working towards the Mediterranean later in the summer.

• The yacht runs with a small crew of 6 and is used primarily privately, with a handful of carefully planned charters incorporated into the programme.

Position Overview:

• Food onboard is centred around healthy, uncomplicated cooking done very well. The owners appreciate quality ingredients, consistency and good execution rather than food being overly elaborate.

• The Chef will need to be comfortable catering around dietary preferences including keto.

• The winter programme brings three charters into the mix, so someone who understands how to move between relaxed private trips and more demanding charter service would be a great fit.

• You must be easy-going, organised and genuinely interested in being part of the crew. Life onboard is active and health-conscious, with a crew who enjoy spending time outdoors and doing activities together.

Requirements:

• Previous experience cooking onboard yachts is required and a background in charter would be a definite advantage.

• Applicants must hold valid STCW, ENG1 and Food Hygiene Level 2, together with a valid driver’s licence.

• A B1/B2 visa must already be in hand and a Schengen visa/European passport is advantageous.

• A competitive salary (DOE) is on offer, alongside standard annual leave and a 13th-month bonus as part of the overall package.

• Start date: Flexible (TBC with Captain).
