Vessel Details:
• A 55m+ private and charter motor yacht is currently seeking an experienced Chief Officer to join the vessel between the 17th to the 23rd of August in the Med!
• Built in 2020 and operating a single-season Mediterranean programme, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a professionally managed yacht with an excellent reputation, a stable crew, and genuine long-term career prospects.
• The role also offers a clear pathway towards a Junior Captain position for the right individual.
Position Overview:
• This position is ideally suited to a newly qualified Chief Mate 3000GT or Master 3000GT looking to establish themselves within a highly respected programme.
• Working closely with the Captain, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of the deck department, ensure all safety and operational procedures are maintained to the highest standard, and assist with the smooth running of the yacht throughout the Mediterranean season.
• The Captain is looking for someone who is meticulous with paperwork and compliance, whilst still enjoying the lifestyle that make the industry unique.
• Proven experience and a good sense of humour would both be highly valued.
Requirements:
• Candidates must hold either an MCA Chief Mate 3000GT or Master 3000GT certificate, together with Ship Security Officer, ISM, and PWC Instructor qualifications.
• A Malta CEC would be considered advantageous.
• This opportunity would particularly suit a newly qualified Chief Mate or Master looking to continue progressing their career onboard a modern yacht with excellent mentorship and long-term prospects.
• Professionalism, strong organisational skills, and the ability to integrate into an established crew are all essential.
• The package includes a strong salary (in EURO) per month, with an annual 5% salary increase, 90 days’ annual leave, three return flights per year, a pro-rated Christmas bonus equivalent to one month’s salary, and a generous training reimbursement programme.
