G-Yachts is seeking an experienced, reliable and professional Skipper for a 17-metre privately operated motor yacht based in Monaco, under the Marshall Islands flag.
This is a permanent, year-round position aboard a yacht used exclusively for the owner and family cruising.
The position offers a long-term opportunity with a seasonal working schedule and a focus on providing a safe, discreet and enjoyable experience for the owner and guests.
POSITION DETAILS
• Vessel: 17m Private Motor Yacht
• Base: Monaco, French Riviera
• Use: Strictly private – Owner & family cruising (No charter)
• Contract: Permanent / Year-round
• Summer: Full-time presence and active cruising operations
• Winter: On-call availability, with reduced operational activity
• Language: Fluent English essential
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATES
• Master 200 GT or equivalent qualification recognised by the Marshall Islands flag
• Valid STCW Basic Safety Training
• Valid ENG1 or equivalent seafarer’s medical certificate
• VHF/SRC or GMDSS radio operator certification, as applicable
• Valid passport and legal right to work in the relevant jurisdiction
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating similar-sized private motor yachts, excellent boat-handling and manoeuvring skills, and a strong knowledge of the French Riviera.
We are looking for a responsible, autonomous and well-organised professional capable of independently managing the vessel’s daily operations, maintenance, safety and general upkeep.
As the yacht is dedicated exclusively to private family use, particular importance will be placed on discretion, flexibility, professionalism and the ability to provide a personalised service to the owner and family.
